| I'm considering applying for school-based SLP jobs but I'm not sure if the pay is worth it. I know a ton of people doing this but don't feel comfortable asking them how much they make, so...anyone have an idea what salary to expect? If possible could you say what state you're in too? TIA!

| Baltimore City schools start at $55,000 with great benefits (I think health premiums are covered 100%) and can go up on the scale until about $75,000. And summers off!

Yup! So thrilled for my relative who even opted to work only 4 days a week (to earn 4/5th of the salary) because it is really a generous starting salary especially w/ summers off.

| This varies tremendously by local school district. If the schools that you are hoping to work in are unionized (and almost all public schools are), they likely have copies of their contracts on the union website, and it probably includes a salary schedule for each position covered by the contract. That might be a good place to get accurate information for your specific location.
