Please remind me, what are the things that make it so a pidyon haben is not done?

birth by c-section or if there was a misscarriage before and the pregnancy was pretty much along that there couldve been a baby. If the father is a kohein or levy. I don't know of any others.

Does use of forceps or vacuum make a pidyon haben unneccesary?

My son was born by vacuum and had a pidyon haben.

I know of one person who didn't have a pidyon haben because he was born with forceps. I think it depends who you ask about the forceps and vacuum.

many poskim allow a pidyon if the miscarriage before was less than 12 weeks.

miscarriage depends on how far along baby was at time.

ps my son was born vacuum-assisted and had a pidyon.
