It's been a long time, so I'm not sure it still exists, but I used to take my kids to a really nice indoor play room at Towson town center mall. It had a lot of nice climbing toys. Then I'd take them to the Towson library to pick out lots of books to read. It made for a nice day.

Towson Mall play area still exists. It's called Tiny Town.

Storyville is a good idea.

For JCC you have to be members to use the playrooms (they are called Parenting Rooms).

My kids love KiddieCrusoe but it's expensive (like $9 a kid and you have to pay for adults too which is really not nice, so we only did it once, on Chol HaMoed).

haven't been yet, but plan to go this summer be"h. the insect zoo at the Carrie Murray Nature Center. also a lot of other stuff going on there. and it's free, free, free. It's under 20 minutes from NIRC. (that'll give you a picture of how far from PH, Greenspring, etc.)

we were at the townson library this past sunday (open sundays 1 to 5 and during the week) they have an amazing children's section with toys and places to play and read and a gated area so toddlers can run around. my kids had a great time and its free

Just went here the Sunday before last. My kids really loved it and had a great time. Thing is, we couldn't spend more than an hour there (there are only like 5 giant inflatable activities) and I even felt I was stretching it for that hour.

You could also try Michael's craft classes.

Ultimate playzone:

You can definitely be there more than an hour - many inflatables, playhouse, climbing structure. I think it's $7/kid.

It is still on the bottom level. Instead of being at the bottom of the elevator and escalators in the center of the mall, it was moved to a storefront, at the bottom of the escalators all the way at the end of the hallway (on the opposite side of the mall than nordstrom's rack).

Any ideas about what to do with older kids in Baltimore? I just got all sweaty outside watering my flowers for two minutes! My boys are 10, 11, and 13 and have no school or camp for a few days this weekend.
