| Can someone tell me how to do this? Do you put liquid or oil in the pot? How long does it take? TIA

I put a drop of oil and a sprinkle of sugar. It takes a few hours. Stir them every so often.

I do a whole bunch and then fill with water to make onion soup. Or if I am home anyway I will do the onions in the crock pot before adding other things for chullent or chicken soup. It's faster to do them on the stove, but doing them in the crock you don't have to be paying attention (but like I said, stir every so often, not the best thing to leave on and go out for the day). I also think it comes out better because you are not transferring, all the flavor is right in the pot and you just add the chicken or meat. They come out YUM.

Also if I am doing for something else, I do extra and mix them with the rice. Really great
