At what age did you find that:
1) your child did his brachos alone most of the time?
2) shema and mode ani in the morning alone, without being reminded?
3) shema at night without being reminded?
4) read Hebrew slowly but reasonably slowly, not megaaa slowly?

I am interested in a various array of answers, from all types of education.

Mati is too young, except for maybe the first item.

you're wishful about 'not being reminded'? that is totally personality based

#1 - about age 3
#2 - depends on the personality - I think age 4/5
#3 - 3
#4 - depends on the child

Interesting! I didn't even teach my kids brachos at age 3, I felt (based on chinuch shiurim and sefarim) they were too young to say Hashem's name since they don't understand Who they are talking to. I was upset when the creche taught 2 yo DS his brachos. Now my 6 yo almost always remembers to say brachos, but sometimes needs a reminder. 5 yo (almost) often needs reminding. I emphasise more the appreciation behind the brachos, eg ask my kids if they're enjoying their supper, and then get them to say "thank you Hashem!", rather than the rote recitation. (not saying you can't do both) Maybe that's why my kids seem to do these things later than ppl who've posted so far, ie I still remind 6 yo to do #2 and 3 and she doesn't always do them. But maybe my chinuch is just weak in these structured areas because I'm not good at structure myself.

ETA: Realised I might have misunderstood. For #1 - when you say "alone" do you mean without being reminded? Or just knowing the words and the correct bracha for each food? If the second, then definitely a younger age. 4 or even 3 (3 yo DS already knows lots of it now the creche taught him).

My DS is 7 and doesnt do those things, but I find that several of his friends do - I think it depends on the kid

Alone as in not reminded.

I asked out of curiosity but also since Mati is my first, I dont have a comparison point.

I sometimes have to remind her to do her brachos on food, for example. When reminded she knows which one to do unless it's a weird item. And she reads very slowly one syllable after another but again I can't compare to other kids.
