I went looking for some shells and there are so many brands- Kiki rikki, pb and j, memois, etc.
What is the diff between the brands and which is best- thinnest and coolest for summer?
Thanks!

My opinion on shells is that EVERYONE has an opinion. That being said, some basic guidelines (And prices, but your mileage will vary!):
1) kiki riki = cotton or lycra. sized really small. Some people feel the neckline is really tight. I'm an XS when I shop at somewhere like Old Navy or the Limited. I wear a medium kiki riki. Pros to KR - they tend to be cheaper and they come in a variety of colors, 3/4 length, cropped, sleeveless, etc. 3/4 length navy cotton shell (which is what I just bought yesterday) = $16
2) Junee = cotton or lycra. Slightly looser than a kiki wiki but not by much (I just bought a medium junee). Variety of colors, sleeves, and they have a beautiful new lux line (that's slightly pricier but nice with shabbos tops). Price wise, a long sleeve junee cotton top =$18
3) Pb&J - comes in cotton, lycra, or modal. I happen to LOVE their modal line. Variety of colors, lots of sleeve options, and runs true to size (I bought smalls and XS depending on the style.) Their cotton line is also nice (haven't tried their lycra.) The downside - the price! Where I live, the modal = $21, the cotton $19

I use kiki riki or junee.
I found that the kiki riki one is not so tight on the sleeves, but for both I bought a size bigger.
Its everyones own opinion. They all range from $16-20.
I would buy one of each and try them out then you can know which you like best and stick to those. _________________

I will only wear pb&j bc its the only one that doesn't choke me around the neck. but as chocolate chips said, you need to try them all and see for yourself _________________ Debbie

Kiki Rikis torsos are very short, I wouldn't recommend them if you're tall. _________________ Smile there, aint you glad your living:)

PB&J modals are the BEST! Soft, stretchy, comfortable, thin as can be. I think I pay $22 for them (not sure exactly) but it is so worthwhile! I've tried all the brands and would never go back to any of the others! _________________ Visit HelpEllen.com whenever you shop at Amazon.com!

| Another vote for PB&J...it's the only shell that actually covers my collarbone. Plus they're pretty long, so they cover your stomach too if you tuck them into your skirt.

I'm quite happy with the 3/4 sleeve shells I got at Basic Colors and the price is great at $10 a shell

I agree that the PB&J modals are simply the best.
I don't think you can buy them online, but they're available at all Shell Station locations.
Do you have any near you? Or can you call and find out about them shipping it to you?
Some info on modal fabric

I vote PB&J also! They aren't cheap, but for me, they last twice as long as the other ones, and are the only ones that cover my collar bone without choking me, and they are true to size, unlike the kikirikis, where I (an xs or s) wear a large.
Their website is theshellstation.com--you can't order online, but you can see what they have and order by phone.

What material are you looking to buy? That makes a difference.
If you are looking for modal or lycra, I suggest Shell Station's shells- PB&J.
I don't like their cotton shells at all- I like Junee's better.

| I like Pb & J the best. They last much longer than cheaper shells, the fabric is a lot nicer and the fit is better too.

I agree with this. I also find the Linda Leal's hold their shape better and the necks don't stretch out. I go out of my way to only buy them.
My very distant 2nd choice when I can't get a Linda Leal is the PB&J. _________________ Want to lose weight fast? Want to keep it off easily?

Call Cozy Hose 718-868-2942. She is a Shell Station and has a website, but I don't know the address. _________________ I like nonsense. It wakes up the brain cells. - Dr. Seuss
