| I created a logo to be used for the web and also for print. Any graphic artists out there can advise me how to do this? I haven't done graphics in a while and am a little rusty... Thanks

What program was the logo created in?

Save it as a pdf?
I'm not sure I understand your question. _________________ "To err is human. To blame it on a computer is even more so."

I have a vector image created in illustrator - it is saved as both a illustrator document (ai) and also a pdf. How do I make sure it is either web friendly or print friendly?
Thanks for the advice.

To clarify my question:
When you are creating a logo for someone and the person specifies that this logo will be used for both the web and for print, do you need to create two versions of the logo? What is the difference in the two versions?

| If you created it in illustrator, then you should be set for web and print. You may want to change the kind of file, though, depending on what you're using it for. To make it web friendly, you will want to take a number of things into account. Does your logo use a gradient? What is the file type? Will it load quickly? Is there a transparent background? If your logo is in illustrator then you can save it as a number of different file types, each having pros and cons, but you would choose based on intent. Hope that made sense!

the pdf is good for print, and may also be usable for web. the eps/ai file would be good if the logo is to be printed on promotional objects.
I would find out what size they need the logo to be for web. then create a new a photoshop document with those dimensions and import the pdf into it. then press command+option+shift+S or go to file>"save for web and devices", and save as a jpg or gif.

| You can save for web devices from Illustrator. (Why go into Photoshop for that?)

| Generally for logos you should be working with Illustrator since you do not have the worries about resolution there and you have the ability to save from there for either print or web

| Another thing no one mentioned. RGB colours may be better for web and CMYK is better for print.
