Women! You have GOT to try this!

My husband got it for me so I'd stop slicing my fingers and I must say.......it's wonderful!
Progressive also makes one, but this Vidalia one has TWO sized blades.
Chop onions in one swift motion!
Dice veggies for an Israeli Salad!
Dice fruits to make a fruit salad!
I even used it for eggs tonight!!

You gotta try it! It's such a time-saver!

I think this was in a thread under favorite kitchen gadgets or gadgets you can't live without. I found this item on ebay and wondered if it really worked.

This thread is so old but I just had to comment. This gadget is SO worth the $20 or less you'll spend. Speeds up daily salad prep - great for peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.... Do yourself a big favor and buy one today!

I broke my first one by putting in a whole (but small) potato. Now I know to slice horizontally. and I do it for almost everything, even soft fruits/vegetables.

I also love this product. While I'm not thrilled that everything comes out diced and my food looks "the same", I can't quibble at all with the HUGE time savings!!!!

I love it too. My only complaint with it is that it is too hard to push an onion through the very fine chopping blade. I don't have enough strength to do it. I usually wind up chopping the onion by hand or if someone else is around asking them to push it through.

I find that I prefer a simple knife. Firstly, any thicker or harder vegetable has to be pre-sliced. Also, it's not so easy to clean, and chopping onions leaves a smell absorbed into the gadget, even after cleaning, that then gets passed on to any vegetable or fruit chopped afterwards. But I can see it being a lifesaver for larger salads or chopping jobs.

It used to take me like 45 min to make an Israeli salad. Now it takes only 10 min with the chop wizard. I agree abt the onion though, you have to cut thin slices before you chop it up.

I love it too and have one for Pesach and one for year round.

I use it to chop onions (haven't chopped one by knife in years).
I use it for peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc. for stir fries, pepper steak, lasagnas, pizza etc.

You can't use it for raw potatoes but you can for cooked if you'd want them that small.

cant live without mine. I try to keep a spare one around as I have a tendency to overstuff them and that causes them to break. The progressive brand works well as a replacement-u can use the vidalia blades in them too.
