Mikvah in Miami?

What's the situation there? We will be there visiting my in-laws, and I'll be needing to visit some "friends" for an evening.

Is there more than one? Do I need to make an appointment? What are their numbers/addresses, if you know?

There are none within walking distance of Sunny Isles. The closest one is in Aventura, maybe a 5 minute drive away. But it's too far to walk. You can take a taxi and ask him to wait. It's beautiful and clean and you don't need an appointment. The Mikvah Lady is AMAZING. She is so sweet.

Is it a safe enough neighborhood to walk alone, or do I need DH to come with me? (I hope not, he's my babysitter).

The problem isn't the neighborhood, it's the distance. It's about an hour and 20 minute walk (depending WHERE on Sunny Isles you'll be staying) AND you have to go over a bridge, which I think has an eruv problem (but if it's yom tov that won't matter.) The neighborhood in itself should be safe.
