So Dugma is a mamad school, meaning state religious. They come in all shapes and sizes, and I have the feeling that this school is on the stricter end of things. Also because it's only boys.
That said, they're also very zionistic. They have a special zionism room which looks like a museum. They also have a Tanach room with a mock har Sinai and ohel Avraham, and all kinds of clothing from that time, which the kids can put on to make tanach stories come to life.
They have a rich music program, and the kids learn to play an instrument. They have a 'bu'a ekologit' where they have all kinds of animals.
The population is diverse, coming from all sorts of frum families. Sefardic, ashkenazic, chassidic, ethiopian and everything in between.

I'm curious, the chassidim in Israel don't mind that it is very Zionistic?

I know of one chassidic man who sends a child to a strong DL school around here - but it's already an exception and while he loves the warmth of the school he says it's a bit weird for the dd to be the only one in opaque tights and all.

Dibrot Moshe seems like it might be a good fit
it's a cheder but one that is more anglo style eg higher standard of secular, teaches english
very warm loving family oriented kind of place
small - only 1 class per grade
parent body seems like a mix of kollel and working ppl. they're looking for 'growing' families rather than externals
def are mothers without tights there, but lots with - seems to be a range

Ruchel, these specific chassidim apparently are.

What is mechadic?
The school has a very good name. I find them pretty well organized. Although officially they have to accept all children from the city center, they hold selections and only kids who fit their their standard, religiously, intellectually and socio economically get accepted.

My DH went to Dugma a long time ago.. I think he came out pretty successful! (But you really can't know if this generation of kids that go to this generation of dugma will come out successfully or not until they are older... I'm sure the school has changed since DH was there)

Thanks so much for your help. That sounds like it could really work. I honestly dont care where the kids are from, I just care that its a warm loving accepting environment. I actually prefer teh diversity. I guess I would prefer not such a wild environment but Im kind of expecting that a little bit of that because of the contrast from america.

Where is it located?
