No problem if covered, just make sure not to touch yourself.

I don't think there's any problem in being uncovered - you're allowed to daven while untzniyus (other than erva itself) it's the men who can't see you that way.

This may be slightly unrelated, but when I asked, my Rav said I could learn while nursing.

I asked a rav, and he said that u have to be covered and and if u touched any hidden part of you're body you ahve to wash you're hands first. I never figured out how that's possible.

I've seen people nurse while wearing gloves for this reason.

I used a burp cloth if I needed a hand. It was the only time I had for davening so I figured I'd do my best, if I mistakenly touched my skin, well, hopefully G-d would forgive me

I keep a water bottle near me when I nurse, so I just pour a little water over my hands if I want to daven, make a bracha etc.
(and BTW, if you washed netilas yadayim and touch an uncovered part of your body, you have to wash netilas yadayim again before eating / drinking anything - even water. I see posts about nursing by the Shabbos table while eating and always wonder how they manage that one)

You do not have to be covered.
