| |
I've been looking mostly in Woodmere but it seems that I may be moving to Cedarhurst. Without getting into too much detail, I'm moving sort of blindly and don't know much about the area. I know as in many cities, many blocks are very different from each other and someone can love/hate an area based on the block they're on.
Does anyone know any detail of the area off of Rock. Turnpike? Near Carvel, Livingston, Adele..
also, I was told people are right across Rockaway Turnpike- "Inwood/Lawrence". Is this whole area nicely populated with young people?
TIA!

I know some people who live on atlantic and pacific, I think that's around that area just a little closer to central avenue.
I also know some people who live on the other side of Rockaway Tpke off of Pearl. Very nice people. However, it is a busy area in terms of traffic, buses, etc and I wouldnt say that the area is 'nicely populated with young people' but maybe that's just because the area where I live has probably almost a hundred frum families in a small area. So maybe its a matter of perspective.
That area does have some things going for it, not a far walk from Central Avenue although its really on the Lawrence border and I think there are a few shuls nearby too. And its near Dunkin Donuts

thanks for the reply!
although there are frum Jews everywhere over there, can you tell me where the most "popular" area is? where there are many young families? ("between ___ and ___..") Or, is this area that I'm talking about right near it, though maybe not in the THICK of it?
