So I light olive oil. And we have a number of lichter glasses that are burnt, or discolored and that won't come clean. Does anyone know of a fool proof way to clean them that won't scratch them? I don't want to throw these away, but does anyone have any ideas?

This comes up post Chanuka. Using ammonia usually works. It worked awesomely the first year I tried it, pretty good the next. Maybe someone else can chime in with more detailed instructions, or another suggestion. _________________ The righteous praise and honor people for every good quality that is found in them while the wicked seek out faults in others to pull them down, even if they repented those deeds. I've tried it, it doesn't seem to work and since we moved, we don't have one.

| This year, I soaked the glasses from the menorah in a product called Lestoil, and they looked brand new. I soaked them for about a day, and then rinsed them off. (Use gloves to get the glasses out though, because it is a smelly product.)

Put them in a container, and sprinkle powder laundry detergent over them (generous amount, but n ot a ton.). Pour boiling water in the container, making sure the glasses get filled. Leave overnight. Rinse in the morning. They come out looking like new. _________________ Lucky Mom to 5

I use baking soda and steel wool and it works really well also the magic sponge.
a tip I learned is using better quality glasses are better, and cleaning then every single week.
