For those of you interested in Jewish home education, there will be a one day conference in Baltimore on Sunday May 6. There will be speakers on homeschooling and homeschool lifestyle issues as well as a veteran's panel. This is a unique, once a year gathering -- don't miss it!

PM me for more information or to register. Childcare and pre-paid meals (dairy, cholov yisroel) available, but the deadline is today!

Yael - will the sessions be taped and if so, will they be available to the public? My kids are not homeschooled and I'm not looking to homeschool them but the topics look absolutely fascinating. I'd definately be interested in listening to a recording.

It looks like we will try to record them and if it is successful, we will be offering to the public after the conference for a fee. Keep your eyes (faceless Imamother Smile ) peeled for more info after the conference.

Oh you should totally record them! There are a lot of technilogically savvy people here in Baltimore and think what benefit there could be to people who can't travel for the conference.

Yeah, it just costs $$$. We;ve figured out a good way to do it, we just have to workout a couple of details...

You know, you CAN come to the conference even as a "outsider" (snort!). Wink

I know, but if limited resources (I'd need babysitting) I wouldn't want to take away from people that it is more l'maaseh for. I don't look at myself as an outsider - we are all on the same team of wanting to parent and educate our kids in the best way possible. I didn't want to make this sounds as US versus THEM.

But let me ask you this, do you have a schedule of start/stop times for the sessions? Your signature just has the list of topics and bios but without times attached, I believe. You also said the last day to register was Sunday? If I do want to sit in on a session or two is there a seperate fee per session? And can I use the babysitting to drop off my kids for an hour or two (and pay accordingly of course)?

We have the space, but we have closed out the babysitting service to everyone, sorry. Registration can happen until the day of the conference, but childcare registration has closed and the registration for the food will close on this Sunday. I don't have the exact schedule on hand but if you PM me, I can tell you who does. We can possibly arrange half-day admission (the person I would refer you to can answer that question too).

Thanks...I'll probably just wait to see what happens with any recording efforts.

And kol hakavod for your efforts!
