| I was exclusively breastfeeding my baby, but started to give formula on occasion (maybe once every two days). WIC changed my checks, which gives me 9 cans a month. I will probably go through 2 at most. Should I still get the extra and donate, or should I not get them?

| I would take them and save them in case your baby will starting having more or you stop nursing before your baby is a yr old. Or give to a gemach. They dont expire for like at least a yr.

| if you're entitled to them then take them! you can give it to an organization or a family who can use (I.e. save) the $.

Halachacly it isn't so simple to take it and then give it away. When we were on WIC at one point we were getting way too much milk. We asked our Rav if we could get all of it and then give it to neighbors. We were told that they are giving you what they think YOU need. If you don't need so much, you only take what you need. You may not specifically take extra, knowing that it will be too much, and then give it to others.
I would ask a Rav
