Soo scary! I got an email with a tehillim request for this boy (Yosef Meir ben Miriam Henya). All it said is that he's in critical condition. 
My heart goes out to this kid's mother...

didnt such a story happen a while ago?
I think it was in the boys own garden when he played with his brother.
Davening for the boy. he should have a refuah sheleima quick!

T&P! That's just it, there ISN'T any update! He's not responding, things aren't looking good! We can't get any info out of the family, they're hysterical! He needs rachmei shamayim!!

I think you might be thinking of my cousin who died after being hit with a baseball. He was playing catch with his brother.

I think you might be thinking of my cousin who died after being hit with a baseball. He was playing catch with his brother. |
Isn't that the Sephardic rabbi's children (Rabbi Dabbah if I remember correctly)? He's the principal of a school here. That story was one of the saddest I've ever heard:(

I'm bumping this up yet again. Should we still say tehillim for this boy? How is he? Anyone in Lakewood know? I can't get this story out of my head.
On a personal note, yesterday was supposed to be the first day of baseball for my sons, but it was canceled due to rain. I must say that I wasn't unhappy about it... but I know that the sun will shine on other days, and I'll watch those games with their metal bats.....

| I can find out for sure tomorrow. Last I heard he was doing better but still has a long way to go. No longer critical but not sure exactly I can ask tomorrow.

Happy2b - "doing better"?! Umm.....yes I'd say he's gotten "better"! And what DOES "better" mean!?
Yes! His body is functioning "normal", all his organs are ok! Its accepting his food (inserted via food pipe) and he has a trechea tube for breathing! But otherwise not attached to any machinery! BUT (and that's a huge BUT) his brain is totally not working! They're not seeing any activity! They don't see any damage or trauma to the brain! But there's still no activity! The last I heard, they wanna send him home the way he is! There's no reason for him to just lay in the hospital!
And in case someone doesn't know, they added a name: chaim yosef meir ben miriam henya! Still needs lots of rachmei shamayim!
P.s. HE wasn't even playing baseball! He was with friends practicing for a purim play or something and the bat "came out o nowhere", from a group of boys playing nearby! Here we so strongly see how it was just "meant for him"!

Thanks for the update.
This happens to me all the time; I get a name for tehillim from a friend or from a story online... and then..... who knows......
I still have a post it note with the names of all the boys injured in the Merkaz Harav terrorist attack. When was that? 4 years ago? How on earth am I supposed to know if the boys are still in need of a refu'ah?
