| |
| We live in a small house with one small bathroom. Over yomtov we had at least ten plus family members and guests using the same bathroom. Now there is a terrible urine odor in the bathroom. I've tried bleach cleansers on the floor and room deodorizers such as Lysol, but still the odor is lingering. I need help, but preferably some household product so I don't have to get to the hardware store since I don't have my car today. Any tried and true suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

The key is not which cleanser, but to locate spots you've missed - bleach should work great - everywhere on the floor and walls near the toilet - bottom part of toilet, back wall.
Good luck.

| Also, leave an open jar of baking soda in the bathroom to absorb odors - that can help a lot.

| In our bathroom, the shower curtain is usually the culprit.

Yes, I've had that (lots of GS with bad aim). Make sure there isn't something you missed (it might be something really not obvious like a garbage can, cabinet bottom, shower curtain as said above, etc.). You don't need a different cleanser, you just need to find the offending place(s). _________________ Want to lose weight fast? Want to keep it off easily?

Take off the toilet seat. My unfortunate experience has proved that this is the most likely culprit. It's not even bad aim, per se, but little sprays… kinda adds up under there and pools by the screws holding the seat to the bowl. Theres no way to wash it without unscrewing it. I know keep a screwdriver in the bathroom.
Be careful not to lose the washers and screws…. I flushed mine down the toilet…. _________________ "Don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things!!" - Steven Tyler
