I hope I at least lose some weight over this yom tov. I have a nursing baby with food sensitivities, plus pesach minhagim dictating my diet. On top of that, I developed toothache on both sides of my mouth which causes extreme agony when I eat or drink anything cold or sweet, which I can't get taken care of until after yom tov.
It's a unique form of starvation.

So here's all the things I'm not eating this week:
-anything really cold
-anything sweet - chocolate, cake, fruit...
-unpeeled vegetables
-gebrochts
-kitniyos
-garlic
-fish
-tomatoes (even peeled)
-citrus fruits or things made with them
-dairy products of any kind
-MSG

I've made fresh coconut milk so I can at least have an unsweetened cup of coffee, but other than that I've been surviving on water and matza and eggs. A LOT of matza and eggs. But I am really and truly sick of those by now, to the point where I'd almost rather go hungry than eat another egg. And I'm not the type who will happily eat meat/poultry for breakfast, lunch, and supper every day. So I'm just hungry most of the time.

So...any ideas for what to eat? Especially for breakfast - I mostly just skip lunch.

You do realize how funny the title of this post is with your sn immediately afterward under recent topics.

Sorry I am not responding to your post; but it did make me smile.

Peel and dice up yams, drizzle with oil, bake until crispy and soft.

I know you are getting sick of eggs, but have you had sunny side up eggs and pan fried potatoes yet? I can often manage to get that in me, even when I'm sick of eggs.

Sweet potato kugel (no crust). Drained and mashed yams, cinn, sugar to taste, a dash of salt, and 3 eggs. Bake in a non-lined tray (baking paper will get soggy).

I just put up a tray of root veggies - carrots, parsnip, sweet potatoes and, or course, potatoes. (Beets would go well too but DS used them all up for chrain). I drizzle w olive oil & pour a cup of boiling water on top, so they cook much faster (as I am always too hungry to wait...)

I dip my fries in yogurt! (oh, whoops. you said no diary). Well, I would ask a Rov if you can eat kitniyos although, because with so little food, how can you nourish your baby?

Applesauce?

I didn't notice chicken, meat, potatoes or sweet potatoes on your no eat list.

How about some fresh roasted chicken? Creamy mashed potatoes? Baked sweet potato fries?
