Anyone else sick as a dog for the holiday?

I have laryngitis!

All I can do now is type!

I got sick on the very first night of pesach. I have a terrible sore throat, and I'm sneezing, and coughing. (Hope I don't pop a rib!) And absolutely no voice! I wonder how many people I offended in the street when they didn't think I responded to wishing me a good yom tov. It was pitiful.

I figure -hey, you don't need a "real" voice to be on imamother! Very Happy

Me too! Exact same thing. Mine started erev Yom Tov. Fortunately, I had KLP hard candies, which helped a lot.

Is your voice back yet? It gets a little frustrating when answering the phone like this Laughing

I was sick from last Wednesday, through Shabbos. Fever, stomach bug, sneezing and runny nose. B"h I'm better now for chol Hamoed!

Not feeling well. Sore throat/headache all of first days. Cancelled our Chol HaMoed outing for the day. Picked up antibiotics motzei Yom Tov, so hopefully tomorrow will be a better day and we can get out. Crying or Very sad

My appt is at 4 today. Bad cough, low fever, chest pain and the 12 yr old boy voice anology sounds quite accurate... I sent out dh with the kids. Was so looking forward to this. We hardly go out as a family. But, what can you do?

Me too! headache and sore throat plus coughing and none stop runny nose. I felt terrible from shabbos. Today I feel a little better but my baby had a fever and my three yearold feels bad to... Sad

Bronchitis for me, I'm feeling worse by the minute but b"h for meds. I hope things will pick up soon. I really didn't want this to be viral or flu... I don't feel validated when they say that.

Same here, terrible sinus infection since first night of yom tov. B"H had some anitboitics in the house so started taking them shabbos morning B"H feeling a bit better. I've had fever since first night of Yom Tov I made an effort to take the kids out today for about an hour with DH. I sat down while DH took them around the outing. It was good to get the fresh air. I feel terrible that after all my hard work and DH's hard work I couldn't enjoy Yom Tov! We didn't have any help at all and did everything ourselves and what was my reward to get sick? I know Hashem does things for a reason but it does bother me. I was probably run down and therefore got sick. Hopefully I will be all better soon so I can enjoy the rest of Yom Tov!

I'm with you.
Really bad strep since Thursday, just starting to feel better yesterday and today. Still can't eat anything that's not very soft. And on top of that the anti-biotics are making me feel super sick as well.

Me too. The worst was having guests when all I wanted was to ignore the dirty dishes and hide out in my bed all day long. I'm still sick now and not going anywhere for c"h, although dh is trying his best with the kids.

My 2nd day on medication and I'm worse? It could be the Z Pak is the perp here. Uch, this is awful!

At least its quiet here. Dh took out the kids. Even in my stupor I had to ask what they're wearing. Baby is in top from the other day (purple and cream, bright and clean) and bh she got changed so she now has coral leggins too! How adorable, If anyone sees her just give her a kiss for me...

My DIL came down with the sore throat, fever and running nose on Wednesday, GS came down with it during the second Seder and now my DH today. Whatever the virus is - it is literally running through our family. I continue to wash my hands and not touch my face Smile

one of my kids was sick all of last week, another kid came down with it during the seder, now my baby's sick and so am I. high fever, headache, chills, cough, fatigue and general crankiness.
its a joy over here.
thankfully the first one is over it, the second is on the mend.
but dh's allergies are hitting him hard and anyway he has to work.
wondering if I should let our prospective guests for the second days know? they might not have anywhere else to go, I dont mind having them but dont want to get them sick.

I think you should let them know even just for their sake. They have a right to know that they will be staying with sick people. Should they choose not to come then good for you. You can relax. Feel better Wink
