I am looking for a bunk bed and I have no clue what to begin looking for one. I know that I'd want it to be ivory and wooden. Where should I shop and any advice before I start looking?

I suggest buying one that can be taken apart into two identical beds, so that you have use of it that way later on if needed.

I would suggest that the top bed should be high enough that a big kid could sit on the bottom bed with a straight back. I would also try to get one with the least wood as possible on the footboard, so the room shouldn't feel so cluttered.

Get one that is sturdy enough that if one child tosses and turns at night, it doesn't creak and wake up the other child!

Idk if this is the kind of advice you want but bunk beds are a pain in the neck...
They are hard to make every morning, hard to change the sheets, the kid on top has nowhere to put their stuff so it stays on the bed, dangling feet make for sibling rivalry. Also IMO they make the room look more cluttered.

Ifyou really need the room and there is no other option then I agree with getting the kind that can be made into two beds

The bed might also be creaking due to the assembly. Make sure to get assembly included in the package. It's very hard to assemble it properly without experience.

We got ours at Picollino in Lakewood. It can be seperated into two beds someday. Every so often we tighten the screws (octagon ones, not sure what they're called) and the shaking stops.

Thank you everybody for your advice. I searched online to get an idea of what's out there. I think I am very interested in the ones that have stairs instead of a ladder. Does anybody here have that?

Check the weight limit per bed. Go with a higher weight limit so two kids can be on the bed, even when they get older.

I have this bunkbed it's not exactly stairs but it's not ladder rungs either. I find it's more comfortable and easier for the kids to climb.
I also like that the top bunk is deep so I'm not afraid of dc falling off. The shelves are also a nice touch, my kids love keeping their stuff there, it's their own personal space.

I don't know where you are. We shopped online and many secular stores. The best prices we found were at the Jewish Stores in Monsey.

I don't have any information on wooden.
I have 2metal ones from Ikea which I have for a few years and I'm very happy with them.
