The book "Room", did anyone read it?

I just finished reading this book and I was very disappointed by the ending.
And on top of that the entire story was very disturbing.

I am in the middle of this book- they have escaped and are in the psych hospital. The book is so heavy! And I am a social worker in child welfare- I spend a lot of time reading heavy things. I will probably finish it tonight and come back to comment on the ending.

It was a weird book, all right. I didn't love it but I did read it until the end which say something (I don't bother with books that are unbearable).

Yes I read it. It was very painful and disturbing. I thought the end was a bit too "happy" considering the rest of the book.

I read this some time ago. It was one of those books that I couldn't put down but I found the ending very "light" considering how heavy the rest of the book was.

I heard an interview with her. She sounded normal, but convinced me the book wouldn't be my cuppa. Not that I never go out of my comfort zone. I just read Taft 2012 and don't generally do alternative history.

I read the back and skimmed a chapter and didn't read it. Too intense for me.

It was VERY good. But VERY intense and scary. It was a little weird to see it from the kid's point of view, but I guess thats what makes it so intense...

I enjoyed it.

I read it a couple months ago, and I agree with everyone else: It is quite disturbing, but you can't put it down until you finish it.
And the ending was not as satisfying as I would have liked.
