SICK ON PURIM ............. VENT!!!!!

I just need to vent a little, purim is my favorite yom tov, after all the hard work preparing shalach monos and finding costumes im sick in bed Sad

I dont even get to enjoy the day !

DD 2.5 yrs has a 103 fever so Im spending most my time taking care of her

I'm so sorry all you posters who are feeling under the weather (or are taking care of the little ones) .... does it help to know that there is always next year ?
maybe it helps to know at least you can answer the door and say hi to people who come to deliver shalach manos?

Remember, this too shall pass.

Last year DD threw up and spiked a fever of 102. Needless to say she missed megillah and the party in shul and she was stuck at home.

Mommy was stuck at home with her. It was such a 'fun' Purim.

This year she was up at the crack of dawn, she had her costume on as soon as breakfast was over, and she's already been out with DH delivering.

Must be something going around. I've had a bad cold all week but managed to still get to shul and to the other stuff.

My DH however has cellulitis and is on IV antibiotics and feeling lousy.

Advil! I wish! But no, I`m pregnant, so been dosing up on regular (bah!) tylenol for the last few days. Oh, and hot water with honey and lemon Puke

Ugh I feel your pain. Happened to me at least once as a kid, two years ago I was hit mid-purim with a nasty stomach virus, and this year I'm pregnant and have had pretty bad "morning" sickness throughout but I've been having a lot of better days lately and today is NOT one of them. (by better I mean only medium nauseous instead of extremely miserable. Today I am wavering between very and extremely, even after taking zofran.) I know it's different than regular being sick but I still feel that lack of yomtov spirit.

Me too!! DS got sick yesterday so no dress up Megillah or fun and today I'm the one with the stomach bug and DS has a fever Sad

. So disappointed - worked so hard on convincing DH to dress up, making costumes, assembling MM. Such is life, I'll just have to look forward to next year.

My nausea got SOOO much worse since I last posted and now we should have left already to go to DH's family for the seuda. They don't even know I'm pregnant yet. I feel soooooo lousy I will probably throw up on the way Sad

I wish I could just stay home but it would be terribly awkward for DH to handle them himself (interesting dynamic...)

I'm on bedrest and stayed on the couch all day Sad

My kids didnt have much of a purim cuz of it Sad

besides for lots of shalach manos, which I ate too much of without moving ... ugh

everyone

I've been sick for the past 2 weeks, since I came back from NY.... I was feeling better, then wed night had a low grade fever again, was feeling ok over purim until in the evening I threw up over the whole bathroom... which hasn't happened in ages....

didn't eat or drink anything to cause it, and I' still queezy, any not only that, dh got so drunk he ran off to his mom, he'll be stuck there over shabbos with no spare clothes!! and I have no koach to go in...
