I was going to say wine but now that it's kids you're talking about, oh they're happy just running around with all the purim tchotchkes, disappearing ink, stink bombs, flying balloons, etc. _________________ Let your fellow's honor be as dear to you as your own and do not anger easily (Pirkei Avos/t)

How about having some kind of project for them? Maybe you can have them decorate cupcakes, or cookies.
You could have them iced or if they are old enough, they could ice them themselves, and you could put out different sprinkles, and colored sugar kind of things.
If you want to stay away from food ideas, maybe they can decorate purim masks or something like that. You can buy packs of masks in a craft store like Michaels or AC Moore, and they can use glue and sequins, or feathers..
If you want an activity, and you are having alot of kids and feeling ambitious, you can play freeze dance with purim music. Never have I met a child that did not love freeze dance! You can even have a prize for the winner!

Pass around a wrapped present with small items in between the layers. When the music stops you open one layer and maybe get a prize.
pictionary with purim terms.
Taboo with purim words.

Put masks by every chair. Do things "upside down" and in a different way than usual. Decorate the table. Spread jelly fish and candies around. Use funky plates.
When the meat came out last Purim seuda, ds, who was in the middle of being toilet trained, ran and brought his little potty to table, proceeded to hoist it on his chair, and sat there bottomless while he ate his meat. He got the best of both worlds lol!
That alone made the seuda fun enough for us - we were cracking up for a while. But I don't suggest that for your kids though, lol...just thought I'd share. _________________ For every minute of anger, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.
