My pretied bandanas all fall off my head. Do I have to get new ones or is there a way to make them tighter?

if they have long tails you can always tie them.
I usually do that to sleep they stay on very well. But if your tails are short tying them gives it a whole other look that you may not like.

Hmm, I do tie them sometimes but I don't find that it helps.

what material are they? I could imagine that lycra maybe would slip more than cottons.

I always tie mine hence after wearing them for several months straight or a year, they stretch out and I gotta buy new ones.

You can replace the elastic.
The lady who sells necklastic (to make shell necklines tighter) also has a type of elastic to make snoods tighter.
Wear it with a wig-grip headband.

I find it happens when they are worn for a while, but if I wear a milano wigrip they stay put.

If you are handy, You buy 1/4" elastic, remove the old elastic, gather and add in the new elastic. If you are NOT handy You can give it to a seamstress, who will do it and charge you 7-8 dollars for it. Depending on how much you spent on the pretied, you might find it worth it, but if you spent 10 or less, I'd just buy a new one instead.
