Has anyone here done it? Did it open doors for you, or it's not really worth the money/time?

I always always wanted to teach high school, but for whatever reason, I ended up with a job in a preschool for the last three years, and LOVED it. Now that I've finished my BA (in a social science, so I could get my MAT for adolescent social studies), I'm faced with a decision. Do I want to go for my MAT to teach high school/middle school, or an MSed in Early Childhood?

DH think's I'm getting caught up in reputation--that working in a preschool seems less intellectual, and therefore I'm hesitant even though that's what I really do want to do. He thinks I should go for ELC, and see how it goes.

So I was looking into programs. What do you know about early childhood graduate programs? Are they worth it? Is is Touro's good? I could probably just continue teaching without the degree, but I'd love to better my skills, and get paid more. Plus, this degree is also special ed, which would be a new avenue to explore someday.
