| |
I'm attempting to make a cute cake for my husband's birthday next week. I just made marshmallow fondant (I hope it really came out ok) but then I realized -- I have no idea how to place it on a cake! I know you roll it out and drape it over your cake, but do you put frosting down first, or no? Also, how do I store the cake afterwards? Does it need to be refrigerated? Also, any idea how to transport the cake in an inconspicuous yet safe manner?
Thanks!

You definitely need frosting under. You need to roll the fondant extremely thinly. It should be between 1/8 and 1/16 of an inch.
For more detailed instructions visit the wilton site and/or youtube some videos. It's not hard, but easier to understand when you see than trying to work it out from what I type.
Good luck!
