No, it would be really, really boring.
And assuming you wouldn't get comfortable with each other, it just gets stressful after a while - no one to really talk to.

This is my work situation. There are multiple offices, but in my office only one male boss and me. In terms of boring and having no one to talk to, I'm not there to be entertained or socialize, I'm there to do a job. I talk to my boss about work. Otherwise, I'm working or talking to people on the phone on work-related calls. I get my entertainment and socialization outside work hours.
As far as "unintended complications," this is the most tznius work environment I have ever been in. I have had no issues ever, which I cannot say for other offices that included a lot of people. A lot of people doesn't guarantee that a few of them won't behave inappropriately. In larger offices I there has been bad language, s-xual harassment, etc. My Dh works in a large firm and definitely deals with many issues I do not have.
The man is frum, I'm frum. We're both very careful about yichud. My husband works close by, the door is always unlocked. In fact, we usually prop the office door open so you can see into the office when you get off the elevator. At least two people come in every day at unexpected times (FedEx, UPS, Post Office, people in the other office on our floor.) I'm also friends with his wife and knew before I started that he was 100% yashar.

I think it all depends on how you feel about it. I personally wouldn't take the job if it was someone who I could see myself being friendly with or who I found attractive. Not that I don't trust myself, but I just wouldn't want any confusing feelings to develop. I did once work in an office, just me and the boss and I will admit it was weird at times, but that was because he didn't realize that it was inappropriate (totally socially awkward type of guy) to comment on my lipstick or that I looked so nice and professional....
Like I said, it depends on how you feel about it.

Just curious, if you are okay with it, and everything is as you have stated, why the poll?
I wouldn't work in an office where the door locks and I'm alone with a male. But in such a situation as you described I don't see a problem with it.
Your first post didn't make the situation clear. _________________ But then again, I'm a dragon.

I wouldn't risk it
why put him in such a situation that he sees you so much?
also, how does your husband feel about the arrangement?
Good luck finding a job that you are comfortable with!
