We plan to go to DC this weekend iy'H and husband would like to book a hotel/motel that is within walking distance of a minyan on Shabbos. I tried calling Chabad of DC (Rabbi Shemtov) yesterday but I'm not sure he got my message yet. Do any of u know IF there is a minyan on Shabbos? Also, is there a men's mikva anywhere? Lastly, is there anywhere I could pick up Kosher ingredients or food in the area?

Thanks

Yes there is definitly a minyan. There is a MO shul called Kesher. It is very nice. You can find out more here:

There are two minyanim at Kesher (hashkama and 9am). Kesher is located at N & 28.

The downtown mikvah is only open to men erev yom tov; there are mikvaot in Silver Spring and Potomac but I am not sure if/when they are open to men.

In terms of food for Shabbat, there are also many options. You can certainly get "take out" from Eli's (located at N & 20), 202-785-4314. Trader Joe's, Safeway and Whole Foods also have many kosher products (I.e. Empire chicken at all three; cold-cuts, Grape Juice and wine at Safeway; challah at Trader Joe's). You could also drive or take the Metro to one of the kosher supermarkets or bakeries in Silver Spring. Kesher also coordinates hospitality for visitors to the community.

Enjoy your visit!

Another vote for Kesher (used to be a member looooong time ago), it's a very hospitable community but you do need to call in advance. It's a lovely area just before you get to Georgetown. If you're in downtown near Capitol Hill I think there used to be weekday miniyan for mincha.
