In England, Naomis are either Nor-me (obviously we do not pronounce the R) or Neh-me.

Just curious, did you really have to be amother to say that? You're not saying anything personal- you're not saying that it's your name or your dd's name.

when I clicked the yes was not thinking straight - couldn't understand why it said anonymous myself! my head was in another world..I am sleepy lol

| It's our daughter's name. We chose it because we thought it was pretty and perfect.

| My Naomi was born motzei Shavous. She's called "Nomi." We love her name!

Technically, in Hebrew it's Na - oh -mi. The vowel is a kamatz katan, pronounced "oh" - like in Mordechai.
Israelis say Na-oh-MEE.
Frum Americans say NO-mee, from what I've heard.
My cousin is Nay-oh-mee, but sometimes got called Nigh-oh-mee.
It is pretty, but confusing.

Our daughter's Hebrew name is Noe Mee. (Nun Ayin Mem Yud)
We call her Nah Yoh Mee. (Naomi)
