I work very closely with my writers and I've worked with Beryl on several pieces-- I'm surprised by this post only because she seemed to completely respect our readership's sensitivities. Yes, we cater to a varied crowd and we can't please 'em all but we try very hard.

OP here..
just want to say its true....binah DID get my approval on the editorial changes. I didnt mean to imply that the changes were without my approval, I just got pretty attached to my own words - something that surprised me! I knew the piece was going to be edited and the editor DID work with me, we had a bit of back and forth and every change was sent to me prior to publication. so I do appreciate that.
I also know that the end-mishap was not intentional, and if I were Binah it would bother me too. oversights happen and in my head I know this, maybe because I'm new at submitting articles for publication I got caught off-guard by it. I may have to grow a thicker skin before I submit my next article.
I'm glad you liked my article though, and enough to publish it too!
