I was researching someone's info on line and it just dawned on me that maybe that person knows I visited that site!!! I would be super embarrassed!

Please reassure me that they can't tell I visited. Or is that not possible!!!! AHHHH

Unless they are a computer person, probably no... they wouldn't be able to see that you looked at their site.

If they have their own website, then it's certainly possible that they have a program to know where their webs visitors are coming from. They won't be able to tell that you specifically visited their site, but they would see (for example) that they had a visitor from Kansas to their website or that someone clicked on their site from a link on another website.

But again, that's only if it's a website that they own and if they've set it up with Google analytics or something like that. There's no way to know if someone visited your Facebook page or whatever.
