I design kitchens, and I don't find your idea is impractical at all.

Your post prompted me to call a place that manufactures polywood, and I asked where to buy craft-size quantities. They referred me to plasticlumberyard.com If you or your DH (or your handyman) do any woodworking, you really could make one. Simply build a frame out of the polywood, and drill holes and insert stainless steel rods for dish separators.

This is such a great idea but it depends on what type of kitchen you have. If you have a lot of cabinets and want to reclaim counter space it would be great. There's a window over my milchig sink otherwise I'd love to get one.

Does anyone know where you can buy a dish drainer rack for a cabinet in Israel? I am planning to go, and would bring one back if I can find it. If anyone know of a place in Jerusalem, that would be great. Thanks.

I believe there is no drip;at least not for the israeli ones. It comes with a tray underneath to catch the dripping.
