For those who follow the Flylady housekeeping program:
do you really do the sink thing like she says?
I'm just starting out and don't see how to do this:
I have 2 sinks and a meat dishwasher, and the dairy sink always has dishes in it, even if I stay on top of washing them new ones are always going in. Plus there are the non-dishwasher meat items, like plastic...
Do you really put them in a bin under the sink? That seems kind of gross-- at least where I live it seems like it would attract every kind of bug. And you still need to keep cleaning supplies down there, right? Or does she expect that you will eventually be able to wash everything instantly??

No, I didn't. I cleaned out the sink and tried to have it clean each night. Don't forget when flylady got into her method, she didn't have any kids at home, and she was retired. Much different for a retired at home person than a person with bli ayan hara a family in the house. _________________ Lucky Mom to 5

That's why I gave up on the baby steps. It's not nogeia for me. If/when my sink is cleared out, then I scrub it with the dishwashing sponge and wipe it dry. Otherwise, it's not really my priority. _________________ http://a-natural-birth.com

I don't do the sink either but can see where she comes from- once you start with one place, you're so amazed how it looks you want to go on! I am a huge fan of her and follow the following:
- Morning routine
- daily missions (usually)
- getting dressed to shoes
By the way, there is an AMAZING new book called "How does she manage?" from Feldheim- 4 very different women talk about their home organization and other things like Pessach, holidays, recipes....I LOVE it and have recommended it to everyone!
