I recently got an electric cake pop maker. I tried one of the recipes that came with it & it worked beautifully!!
 Picture resized
Today I tried one of my fav cupcake recipes and ended up with a disaster
Has anyone tried any recipes besides the ones that come with it? Any success??? _________________

| a cake pop maker is not like a real oven that is why you need to use only special recipe

2 cups sugar (I use a little less)
2.5 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
6 eggs
3/4 cup orange juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup oil

I toiveled mine (held it underwater till no bubbles came up) then let it dry for about a week (a little less). I was once told that it is best to plug it in to a GFI outlet the first time you use it (this is true for all electronics that need t'vila). I've never had a problem.

That's what I do with all similar types of electronics (sandwich maker, George Foreman grill, etc.). In fact, I've had a George Foreman sitting drying on my counter for the past 5 days now.

You might have them in your kitchen without even realizing it. They are sometimes all connected to one 'button' either in the fuse box or at one of the outlets.

gfci - ground fault circuit interrupter
as an aside, I think its incredibly dangerous and irresponsible to toivel these items. I can't believe rabbonim are telling people this.
