We are looking for an english name for ezriel. something similar but easier to pronounce would be preferable. tia!

I like Eddie, since we call him Ezzie. But as an adult that might be too immature for him and Edward would be more appropriate...
I also am toying with Ezra, since its similar, acceptable in the non-Jewish world, and easy to pronounce.

many adults have the name Eddie. you could totally use the name!

That's my Dad's hebrew name, and in English it is switched to his middle name, which is Edward.

I like Eli or Evan. Emmett is pretty popular now, but not my favorite. I wouldn't do Ezra either, unless that was his Hebrew name too, it could be confusing. if you're giving him an English name because you want him to have an alternative to the Hebrew one he usually goes by, you might as well go all the way.

I just thought of a really good one. Ariel! Because it sounds soo similar to Ezriel. And who's to say that he is still gonna be called Ezzy when he is 15 or whatever...

My dads hebrew name is Ezriel and in English its Ira
