OK now that I have ur attention,

please can someone give me a game idea for an adult birthday party. I prefer a game where everyone sits at the table. Something that doesn't take much work in advance and of course VERY VERY FUN!

I recently saw this as a board game, but I think you can probably make your own version and it would be loads of fun. It is basically a combination of pictionary and broken telephone.
Each person gets a pad of paper and a pen.
You have a deck of cards that have words on them (whatever you want - I think it had n,v, adj, adv etc)
the first person picks a card and needs to draw the word, then they pass their pad to the next person who needs to write on the next page what they think it is and then they pass it to the next person who needs to draw the word etc, until it gets back to the first person.
You are supposed to play it with everyone starting and passing at the same time.
Not sure if the instructions make sense, but it sounded like a lot of fun.

get 26 paper bags. put items A-Z inside each bag, and write the letter of the item on the outside. for example, if you put in a plastic fork, write F on the outside. do this for the whole alphabet, using regular everyday household items. everyone gets a sheet of paper with a list alphabetically. pass around bags, everyone needs to feel the bag to try to figure out whats inside, and then write down what they think is inside. when all bags have been passed, go over list, see what people thought the things were!!!!
a friend did this recently we had a great time!

For a family party we played taboo.
It did require prep- on the top of each card was a family member's name or family joke, and the taboo subjects were obvious descriptions of the given topic.
It was good fun!!
