How does ann taylor clothing sizes run?

Does anyone know if they run big or small?

I haven't bought anything from them recently, but I believe they run big (at least IME).

I can never figure out which one is running big and which is running small (these things confuse me!) but I know from them I can fit into a medium or a 12 whereas in other stores I would be a 14-16, L or XL.

I always found that they run very big.

The whole Ann Taylor site is 40% off, not bad.

It's no longer called vanity sizing - it's just how things run these days! Trendy young clothing lines run smaller but Ann Taylor seems to be about the same as Gap, Banana, Jcrew etc....any clothing place catering to those in there 20s and up.

I clearly don't have the figure I had when I was 12 but thanks to the kooky way they make things larger now, 20 yrs later, I wear the exact size I did as a preteen. It's so silly.

well they have a petite line and reg.line..so being that I'm short I chose the petite and it fit me true to size..but prob the reg line would be big.

I find the petite and regular to fit the same. Petite is for height, not size.
