So I've started a home based businees on ebay and mazal tov, I sold my first item!
It's been already 3 days and the buyer didnt pay for it yet. I know he has up to 7 days to pay, but since every time I buy sth on ebay I pay it right away, I'm a little bit concerned. I've already sent an invoice, should I send another one?
The package is already done I just have to mail it. Should just do it without the payment?
I really want to built my name on ebay.
Thank you!

Do not send another invoice till the 7th day. Some people just wait till the last minute.
Do not mail it out without payment
Good luck 8)

agree.

DONT SEND IT OUT UNTIL HE PAYS!! Once he has it it will be harder to get the money.

the only thing u can do is WAIT. If the buyer doesn't pay in the allotted timeframe, ebay will open a case against that buyer. There's really nothing u can do.

Sometimes people forget they bought it/are without internet for a few days/just procrastinating.

NEVER ship before you get paid. Would you allow someone to walk out of your store with an item without paying?

Tip: I always state in my listings that buyers have 3 business days to pay up or I will relist the item.

No harm in sending another invoice, IMHO. It's just another email in their inbox. They probably get a million and forgot. There have been the holidays, too.

Some seasoned advice for you. I have over 3,000 feedbacks at 100% and a Power Seller rating, and have been on Ebay for 10 years.

The buyer may be bidding on another item of yours with a later close date. If they win the second item, they'll be wanting to pay for them together and get a combined shipping rate. It's done all the time. They might also be waiting for their paycheck to clear the bank in a day or two - also very common.

Check the feedback of the winner. See if they are new, or if they've had trouble paying on time before. If your terms state 7 days, then you have to just wait those days and see what happens. Badgering people for money before then will not help your reputation any, especially if you have very low feedback yourself.

The very worst thing that will happen is that you'll have to relist the item, and you'll get all your fees refunded. Who knows, maybe next time it will sell for an even higher price! Gam zu l'tova. Smile

I wouldn't send an invoice, but use the contact buyer feature to send an email -- "Hi, I have your item waiting to ship out. I won't be able to ship certain days this week (Y"T is coming Wink) and I wanted to make you aware of that. If you pay within the next couple of days, I can get it out by Wednesday; otherwise you'll have to wait.
Thanks for your bid!"

Bh the buyer paid I mailed the item and since it wasnt returned nor I was contacted for a refund I assume everything s ok, but I havent got a feedback yet. So now my question is: should I contact the buy to make sure he is satisfied?

I would send a note something like this
Dear buyer
I hope you received (the item) and are satisfied with it. If you have any problems or question feel free to contact me.
thanks

I would add to the above note "If you're satisfied with your purchase please leave me a positive feedback. Thank you!"
