This is really easy:

1 stick margarine
1 cup mini bow ties
1 cup rice
4 Tbs onion soup mix
4 cups of water

Melt the margarine in a (foil) pan in the oven for a few minutes. Dump all the other ingredients in. Bake tightly covered for an hour. (add a little more water and time for brown rice and whole wheat pasta)

Kids like it:)

My mom often makes this recipe.
Any small noodles works great. She uses one packet of onion soup mix (no idea how many tablespoons that is) and she uses 4 cups of boiling water

Bake at 350 for an hour

This is a great fast and easy recipe! But it does not come out good when doubled. Also it is best served right from the baking dish.

Will this work with oil instead of margarine?
