I urgently need an idea or an item to protect my toddler from the radiator. He got a burn last night, and it's only the beginning of the winter. I don't know exactly how to describe my radiator- it's the built in one-not the iron old fashioned...

a. He'll probably never do it again

b. Teach him that it's hot and redirect his attention to something else whenever he approaches it. If you just say, "No, No, NOOO" he'll feel a necessity to go to it more often. Explain, he will understand.

You can get a wodden railing to go around it. Kind of like a playpen but for the heater.

I have the same problem with my oven.
It gets hot on the outside when it's on. I'm not sure what to do.

Well I can't keep an eye on my son when he's not the same room as me. So if I'd do that, then I can't work in the kitchen when the oven's on and he's awake. (Happens to be it usually works out that way anyway - but every so often I need the oven when he's awake).

They sell oven locks for about 5 bucks. It is an adhesive that sticks to the side and front of the oven with a clip for when you open and close it. It really works! They also sell stove guards and other safety gadgets = just about anything.
