im looking for someone to make kids hats and headbands for me at wholesale prices for a new accessory store that im working on.

Did you know that in California it's illegal to sell anything with Swarovski crystals on it to someone who is under 12? It has a very high lead content.

When selling children's items, especially handmade, make sure they they meet ALL the current safety standards. The US revised the rules recently, and several states (especially California) have taken further, stricter measures. I design jewelry, and I decided recently that I will not be doing anything for children. There's way too many rules out there to keep track of. Strings, choking hazards, metal alloy contents, loose beads, I could go on and on - it's a nightmare. Just be on the safe side, and send any questionable items to a lab to have them checked for compliance. G-d willing, you should never need a lawyer!

Coveryourhair.com gives you a 40% (I think, don't remember off the top of my head) discount for wholesale orders. They do have a minimum of $150 for a wholesale order, though.
