I am going to put a disclaimer in here. This is a brag post. I know brag posts can sometimes be boring or seem to be gloating, but that is not my goal. I am just proud of my little girl. Im just putting this disclaimer in so that, if you arent interested, you know that this thread isnt worth your time. (said seriously and nicely, not sarcastically).

DD turned 2 a little over month ago and I have seen such an explosion of 'growing up' in the past month.
Here are the changes:

1 ) gave up her pacifier at my insistence, but easily
2 ) not as dependent on her blankie- by her own choice
3 ) Started mimicking larger 'formula' sentences such as brochas and songs
4 ) 'lights' candles with me every Shabbos
5 ) wants to wash 'al nitilat yadayim' when she sees us doing it
6 ) Decided on her own that she was done with her crib, and stays nicely in her toddler bed each night
7 ) communicates a lot more, with 3,4 or even a few 5 word sentences
8 ) Stayed dry during the day for the first time yesterday and is really catching on to the concept of the potty.
9 ) Getting more interested in books
10 ) trying to count

a not so good #11 ) had her first nightmare

I am so proud of her!!!

You should have a lot of nachas!!! It's easier to notice how ones grown when you don't see them often, but when this happens it's like wow she's growing!!!

I don't see anything wrong with a little "bragging." You should have much more nachas.
