Does anyone have a reliable substitute for dry sherry in a recipe? It's for chicken if that makes a difference. _________________ Don't worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you

You can use dry white wine. If possible, add a tiny bit of brandy.
After all, sherry is wine fortified with unaged brandy or distilled wine.
Actually it is possible to get kosher sherry, Tio Pepe has kosher produciton run.
