Delicious and easy maple/ coffee cake

this cake is great and you put everything in mixer at once.

3/4 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp maple extract
1 cup lukewarm water
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp instant coffee (disolved in a tbsp of hot water)
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt

put all ingredients in mixer

bake at 350 for 45 minutes

once cake is cooled
you can pour frosting over it.

2 cups confectionnary sugar
1 tbsp melted margarine
a pinch of salt
1 tsp maple extract
a drop of water

add waster as needed

what is maple extract? do you find it by the vanilla?

I was wonderinga bout the maple extract, too. can you use maple syrup?? Smile

I also want to know if maple syup can be used instead

no maple syrup annot be replaced, I once tried it and it flopped

Thank you - so is it really good and worth it for me to go out and by out maple extract or its like any cake..
