1 cup butter ( I used margarine for parve)
4 squares (1 ounce size) semisweet chocolate
1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line muffin pans with paper baking cups; set aside.
Melt butter and chocolate over low heat in 1-quart saucepan, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is melted (5 to 6 minutes); let cool 5 minutes. Stir together chocolate mixture and all remaining ingredients in large bowl until well mixed. Fill each paper-lined muffin cup with about 1/4 cup batter.
Bake for 23-27 minutes or until top springs back when touched lightly. Remove cupcakes from pans; cool completely.
I decorated them with frosting and sprinkles. Those are heavenly, my family didn't stop raving about them.

chocolate moose- I WISH we had all Duncan Hines stuff here, but we dont unfortunately.. but I loooooooove their cake mixes. And everyone always thinks they're made from scratch and I'm not lying if I say 'yes I made it!' Actually, maybe I can use the cake mix and use it for cupcakes.
smile-thanks! Im not crazy over chopped nuts, but I'll get myself some cupcake liners holders whatever theyre called and make some!! yay!

Here's a great recipe that looks store bought but tastes WAY better:
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tbsp vanillla sugar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tbsp cocoa (optional)
Beat eggs and sugar until light and foamy
Sift together flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar.
Add to eggs alternating with OJ and oil
Add cocoa if desired
For best results set aside batter for 1 hr before filling tins.
Pour batter into lined cupcake tins 2/3 full
Bake at 350' for 20-25 minutes
Easy Glaze
6 oz baking chocolate or chocolate chips
1/2 to 3/4 cup whipped topping
Pour whipped toppin into small saucepan.
Add chocolate and turn flame on low
Mix until you get a creamy consistency
Turn off flame and let sit for 5 minutes
Dunk each cupcake into the glaze and sprinkle your choice of topping (I.e colored sprinkles, dragees etc) over the top. Refrigererate until glaze is set. Professional cupcakes made by you! _________________ A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
