I can't begin to fathom how you are all feeling at this difficult time especially with Pesach only days away. May the Ribbono Shel Olam give you all the strength you need!
I'm davening for him and your family.

The CAT scan shows a fracture in the femur, and some new tumors- the doctor didn't know how many. The radiologist may agree to do more radiation. We're not sure yet.
Chaim Dovid would like to go to Eretz Yisroel for Pesach now that he won't be having his treatment, but he needs permission from 3 doctors and he's not sure it will happen.

Chaim Dovid was admitted to the hospital last night to meet with the orthopedic surgeon and to help manage his pain. The fracture is in his hip socket and should heal itself, but the tumors there need to be removed, probably by doing a partial or complete hip replacement. Recovery is 4-5 months. There are probably between 5 and 10 tumors there, plus a new one on his lung. They can't do more radiation on the hip, because there is too much damage there from all his previous radiation.
The doctor says there are more phase one trials he can try. For now, the question is whether the surgery can wait until after Pesach, or if it has to be done now. The surgeon should be coming to speak to him at some point to tell him more details.

As I enter Sloan Kettering,
To visit my brother,
A small boy passes by
With his father and mother.
The little boy’s round face
Is streaming with tears.
His innocent young eyes
Have beheld many fears.
I hear his sweet voice;
It is crying and sobbing.
Seeing him in this place
Just sets my heart throbbing.
Keep crying, sweet child;
Let the tears keep flowing.
They are reaching the palace
Of the One Who’s All Knowing.
They will flood His throne room;
They will beg and beseech Him.
Yes I’m sure that each little tear
Will be sure to reach Him.
Let them tell the Almighty
That we’ve had too much pain.
I’m certain these tear drops
Are not shed in vain.
For each tear that is shed
Is so precious and dear.
The One Above sees them;
He holds each one near.
And when He has collected
Enough little drops,
He will make sure that
All of His children’s pain stops.
We must never give up;
We must keep on praying.
Our tear drops carry up
Each word we are saying.
Our Avos were redeemed in Nissan,
And we will be as well;
As we learn, “U B’Nissan
Asidim L’Higael.”
So keep crying, sweet boy,
Tell Hashem of our pain;
So Mashiach will come
And things won’t stay the same.
We must keep begging
Our Father Up Above
To let us spend this Pesach
In Yerushalayim Shel Zahav.

Chaim Dovid is scheduled to have a hip replacement this Friday. There are several tumors outside of the hip which cannot be removed, so the doctor is looking into a new trial to do after the surgery.

Chaim Dovid was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday due to extremely severe pain despite being on strong pain medications. He was put on a high dose of IV morphine but still is unable to stand up without very intense pain.
His total hip replacement surgery is scheduled for today (Friday) at 11 a.m. The surgeon does not know how much relief it will give him though due to the numerous lesions and lack of clarity as to what specifically is causing his pain to be so intense. Please daven that the surgery should go smoothly and give him complete relief of his pain and that he should have a quick recovery.
Thank you for all your Tefilos.

Chaim Dovid was just taken into surgery now. If you're online now or within the next 4 hours, please take a minute (or more) to say tehillim for Chaim Dovid ben Necha.
Thank you.
