I grew up using gebrokst, but for the last twenty years, we haven't used gebrokst because of my sister's husband. However, my mother used to make these sweet-ish matzoh meal chremslach. Does anyone have a recipe for these, so that I could use them on acharon shel pesach? Thanks.

Matza Meal Chremslach
3 eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup matza meal
1/2 apple, coarsely grated (optional)
2 Tbsp chopped nuts (optional)
3 Tbsp sugar
Beat eggs lightly with cold water. Add salt, matza meal, apple, nuts, and sugar.
Drop by Tbsp into hot oil, and fry until golden on each side.
Makes 15 very small matza chremslach.
Alternatively, leave out the sugar from the batter. When chremslach are done, sprinkle the sugar on top.
