Is sunflower oil kitniyos?

Depends who you ask. My Rav said no. RachelEve14's Rav said yes.

I've always been led to believe that it is kitniot - I always buy walnut oil.

It also depends on where you live.

In Eretz Yisrael it seems to be kitniyot-as in the bottles say "for ppl eating kitniyot only".

My in-laws are coming in from England for Pesach and asked us to check it out. We asked Rav Nevenzhal of the Old City and he said if Jews in England are "noheg" to use sunflower oil, then they can and we can in their house as well. But, we asked them to buy it there. Here if it says "Kitniyot", we were afraid it may have been mixed with other kitniyot oils.
