| |
I graduated from a master's program in special education birth through 2nd grade in December (I majored in business in college so I am changing career paths and have almost no prior teaching/tutoring experience). I had to get my life in order so I have not been lookign for a job. Unfortunately, my husband literally just lost his job and I am freaking out.
My goal was to do early intervention, specifically DI. I live in NJ (went to a NY school and don't mind traveling) and have no idea what the protocol is. Do I have to be certified to work as oppose to just a masters, and is it hard to find a job nowadays and be hired by an agency? Do I get trained and if so do I get any monetary compensation while being trained? Will agencies not be interested in hiring someone with no experience and if so what can I do for more experience?
If I can PM anyoen with more questions I would be so grateful.
TIA
