we're thinking of changing our current theme....
any ideas of what food to put in (and what container to use) for a punk-themed (or gothic-themed) mishloach manos?

yeah, but what foods are black aside from jelly beans and licorice?

you can make s/t w/ chocolate (brown)
or tint a yellow cake black (w/ food coloring)

If your theme is goth you can also include either red or purple which should open up your food options a bit. You can use black silk, lace or black and white striped bags to put everything in. You could also use black boxes or black and white stiped or polka dot boxes. For a more punk theme you can add spikes or rivets. Hope that was helpful!
